[Epoch Times, November 18, 2025] (Epoch Times reporter Zhong Youchun) Hong Kong actress Ada Choi and Max Zhang married in 2008 and have two daughters and a son, living a happy family of five. Recently, their youngest son, nicknamed "Fish Ball," celebrated his 6th birthday. Ada Choi shared a family photo on Instagram to celebrate her son's birthday. Her two daughters, each with long legs, struck various confident poses for the camera, exuding star quality.

Ada Choi met mainland martial arts star Max Zhang while filming the TV series "Water Moon Cave". The two married in 2008 and now have a 14-year-old daughter, Zhang Chu'er (Baozi), a 12-year-old daughter, Zhang Xin'er (Jiaozi), and a 6-year-old son, Zhang Le'er (Yudan).

On November 16th, Ada Choi posted heartwarming photos on Instagram of her family celebrating her son's birthday at a theme park, writing: "My precious little fish ball is 6 years old! He has been with us for 6 years! Watching you grow up day by day! We are getting younger day by day! What a blessing it is to have children who can grow up together!" Her words were filled with love for her son and the joy of being a parent.

From the many photos shared by Ada Choi, it's clear that the family of five had a wonderful time that day. In one photo, they're presenting a birthday cake to their son in front of a large fish tank at a restaurant. The birthday boy, nicknamed "Fish Ball," has many adorable expressions. Ada Choi and Max Zhang also showed their childlike side, posing for photos with the park mascot and jokingly riding in a rickshaw with Max acting as the driver—a heartwarming and fun scene. What has attracted the most attention online is that the 14-year-old eldest daughter, Zhang Chu'er, is already taller than her father, Zhang Jin, approaching 180 centimeters, while the younger son looks remarkably like him. Both daughters bear a striking resemblance to their mother, Ada Choi, and both possess long legs. Moreover, the two sisters showed no stage fright in front of the camera, striking various confident poses with undeniable star quality. Many netizens left comments praising them, saying, "The two daughters are looking more and more like their mother, so beautiful," "They're practically carbon copies of Ada Choi," and "The whole family is incredibly good-looking."

Ada Choi risked giving birth at the age of 46, and therefore dotes on her son immensely. When her son, nicknamed "Little Fish Ball," turned two, Ada posted on Weibo, revealing, "I didn't know I was pregnant at the time and did things that harmed the baby. Now, seeing my son so healthy, I am incredibly grateful." She also shared a series of photos of herself interacting with her son; in one arm she was holding him, in the other she was cooking with a spatula, and one foot was on the stove, seemingly to provide support for her arm holding the child. Seeing this, netizens exclaimed that Ada is a true "supermom."

Ada Choi, who debuted as a Miss Hong Kong contestant, was a popular figure at TVB very early on. Max Zhang, who started as a martial arts athlete, moved from behind the scenes to the forefront in 2000, filming many film and television works and serving as a martial arts instructor. He won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as "Ma San" in the film "The Grandmaster".

Ada Choi gained fame in mainland China for her role in "Empresses in the Palace." Several years ago, she moved her family to Shanghai, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Shanghai and the strict lockdown imposed by the authorities, food shortages and other problems arose. In 2022, Max Zhang and Ada Choi moved their family back to Hong Kong.
