A school banned Netflix (Netflix; Netflix) song from the popular movie "KPop Demon Hunters".
The Church of England in Poole, Dorset, Dorset; The Church of England) Lilliput Infant School sent a message to parents last Friday (November 14), saying that some people in the community were "deeply disturbed" by the content involving "demons".
The school said this was because they "associated it with spiritual forces that oppose God and goodness."
In an update note on Monday (17th), acting principal Lloyd Allington said he had received feedback from parents pointing out that there was a positive message in the song, but the school wanted to support those who found the film's theme "challenging."
(Editor's note: According to the school charter, Lilliput Nursery School provides introductory classes to grade 2 courses in the English school system, which is equivalent to the upper class of kindergarten to the second grade of primary school.) )
"Kpop Witch Hunters" became the most-watched movie in Netflix history in August, and the plot follows three members of the fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x, who use music and combat skills to protect humanity from demons.
The video also features a rival boy band "Saja Boys" consisting of five demons, whose songs cover themes such as seduction and seduction.
In the initial message to parents, the school asked parents to encourage their children to "refrain from singing these songs in school to honor those who believe the subject matter is contrary to their beliefs."
