The Beckham Family's Public Rift: DJ Recreates the "Awkward" Mother-Son Dance at the Wedding

British football legend David Beckham's family has recently been embroiled in a controversy. Brooklyn, the 26-year-old eldest son, published a lengthy nearly 1,000-word statement on social media on the 19th, leveling multiple accusations against his famous parents and rarely declaring his intention to cut ties with his family of origin. One post alleged that his mother "hijacked" his first dance with his wife, Nicola Peltz, at the wedding. The wedding DJ, while appearing on a TV program on the 23rd, reviewed the "awkward" dance between the mother and son and explained the actual situation at the time.

According to a BBC report, Brooklyn accused his mother Victoria, a former member of the Spice Girls, of making "very inappropriate dance moves towards me in front of everyone" at the wedding, which made him feel "uncomfortable" and "humiliated." Tony Marnoch, the wedding DJ known by the stage name "Fat Tony," also stated on the ITV show *This Morning* on the 23rd: "The whole thing made everyone in the room feel very awkward."

However, after Brooklyn's post regarding his mother's dancing sparked widespread speculation, Marnoch clarified the situation, emphasizing that "there was no slut-dropping, no PVC Catwoman outfits, and no Spice Girls moments."

He pointed out that singer Marc Anthony was performing at the wedding reception at the time and invited Brooklyn onto the stage. Everyone present assumed that Nicola, the bride, would be the next to join him. However, Anthony subsequently called for the "most beautiful woman in the room" to join Brooklyn, calling out Victoria instead of Nicola, causing the bride to run out of the room in tears.

Marnoch further described that Victoria was right by the stage and walked up. Brooklyn, who had expected to dance with his new wife, appeared completely devastated at that moment. He said: "Then Nicola left the room in tears, and Brooklyn was left on the stage. And then they danced, with Anthony shouting, 'Put your hands on your mother's hips.' It was a Latin-style dance, and the whole scene made everyone in the room feel very awkward."

Marnoch also mentioned that he has served as the DJ for "quite a few Beckham parties" in the past and described the Beckham family as a "close-knit family who loves to dance." As for whether the dance was "inappropriate," he believes it depends on Brooklyn's own feelings. However, he emphasized that the dance was just "a small part of a bigger problem" in the family feud, stating bluntly that it is "pathetic" for the public to focus so heavily on this part of Brooklyn's statement.

The BBC report noted that Marnoch's account is inconsistent with descriptions of the event by some media outlets; Marc Anthony and the Beckhams have not yet responded to these statements.
